And, plus I been using the foam roller. (Just like I preach, but never practice.)
Oh, my that's exquisite. But it really, really works. 1o times per leg, and by 6 I think about quitting. At 8, it's crying time.

Lorna and her sisters have hip problems. She does this every evening as part of her yoga workout. I do not know why, but it helps her hip issues.
It helps because a tight IT band will tug on the muscles with which it interfaces. Hips are in there.Think of super tough shrink wrap pulling your leg out of line. That's a screwy IT band.
Does Lorna whimper and mumble curse words? I only ask, cuz I wanna make sure I'm doing it right...
Heee Haaawwwwww!!!
Where do you get a foam roller? do I have to buy it from Chai what's his name?
At first she cried out, "Help me! Help me!". Either she has adjusted to the pain or her muscles have become attuned to it. She really is in remarkable condition for someone in their 60s.
You can buy various foam rollers on Amazon. Lorna's is 6"D x 12" and quite firm.
massage yourself.
Yo, Rev: It's been awhile since my last blog confession. It just so happens I made this little ninjayoga video sequence to help balance the hip/it band problems cyclists end up with. A few reps of this and I can pretty much guarantee your foam-rolling kung-fu will go to 11. And a half. Try it. Lemme know what you think. –uma http://bit.ly/aUoNO4
Dang,Uma. That sequence looks so cool I'll try it even if it doesn't do anything other than make me look like the Kung Fu Panda. Thanks for the help!
juancho, you can even buy a foam roller at Target. You should get one, they are legit.
Judi, that IS massaging meself. It's called "myofascial" work in the biz, which is a fancy way of saying it involves connective tissue (fascia) as well as muscles (myo).
Hey dick, you on any of those fancy social network thingies? Do you twat?
dick, i just found some funny pix of you on my phone at interbike.
