goes well with everthing
I must have these.
Fine Italian leather...call it what you want, call it what you will. My Sidis are going all soft in the soul, and we cannot have that. Leo needs a new pair of shoes. I'm considering the retail price comparison and these are not a whole lot more than a new pair of Sidis, anyway.

Those are indeed sweet.
A word of caution: If you're used to the infinite adjustability of the SIDI closure system, a shoe with laces is going to harsh your mellow in a big way.
I have the Adidas Adistar Classic with a lace closure, and they give me hot spots all over the tops of my feet.
I hear that Wyndham Earl has Leo in a cabin somewhere in Del Monte Woods. Pine Cone don't lie about that kinda shit.
hells bells. those kick all kinda ass. they just scream reverend.
p.s. i'm riding again :)
not enough carbon
Yes, they lack the carbone.
Hot spots, eh? That is a good point. It would SUCK to pay that kind of cabbage and be even slightly dissatisfied. I ,of course, would never be able to admit to that in public if it were to happen. I'd have to pretend everthing was A-OK, and stand by my choice or look like a pretentious fool. No WAY am I gonna do that.
Really? Hot spots that are unrectifiable with some judicious loosening and tightening?
The loosening and tightening helps, but with all the motion of your foot working against the tongue of the shoe for the thousands of revolutions that constitute a ride of any real length, they just sort of readjust themselves.
Plus, it's not just reaching down and clicking the ratchet or quickly adjusting the velcro-- You have to mess with them. With two hands. Which, generally means getting off the bike (for me, anyway).
Don't get me wrong, I have the serious hots for those shoes, but I've already learnt the hard ($$$) way.
dang
Dunk your feet in pickle water, the brine will harden up the skin. Plus, your feet will smell like pickles.
It would be worth it for those shoes.
Forget everything I said.
You sure would look good in those shoes.
Now I'm smelling something and it is neither my feet nor pickles...
