Just so we're clear.

One way to get to work...

Autumn is falling. I saw this thick necked fellow herding his does across the trail while 2 young bucks sniffed along after. I rode in between, and he seemed reluctant to move on.

Lucky for me, he didn't mess with my cache. Deer don't like easter eggs, I guess.

Later, I saw another equally stout emir tending to his own harem.

Later still, it was time to get the boy from soccer practice.

This cased some concern amongst the mini van and soda set...

but it looks perfectly legit to me.

That is the whitest blues picker I've ever seen. Nice. Whatever it is, he's caught and bottled it.

Damn. Now, you've got me thinking about it. I purely love Winter's music. but reproducing something recorded in the 1930s, technically perfect, note for note, even singing with a rural black accent, be truly soulful? Is it more roots music than Bela Fleck playing "noodly bughouse jazz"? At least it's his own noodly bughouse jazz, not borrowed from some long gone black man. Or Junior singing some Monkey Wrench blues song? Is it that Junior looks so retro WHITE? Do we cut Winter some slack 'cause he's a cool translucent white guy and LOOKS hip? Aw, who cares.

You and the kids together are ridiculously adorable. Cut it out.

I think Winter LOOKS terrible. Jr. Brown looks much more my personal speed. So, I can't see the issue in that light.
I alao think Winter is playing that song as he is because he feels it, and it comes through in his version. The put on vocals strike me as a tribute, rather than an affectation.

Noodly, self indulgent bughouse is never justified.

J______ was sitting on the bars with his feet on the front mini rack. It'd be hard not to be adorable when you're that guy.

Can Jonny be held responsible for the fact that he is winter's child and not the sunburnt twin? Both go down like a good Merlot.

Just to start another fight in the parking lot. "Good" Merlot is almost an oxymoron. It has become a commodity wine and it's difficult to even find one that isn't insipid. But even at it's worst it's never as bad as Pinotage, possibly the worse grape ever cultivated. All IMHO ;o)

Now, Berg, you're just being cantankerous.

I guess I'm lucky to be on the far side of the planet!
It happened to be what was in my glass at the time. Anyway, I'm used to quality South African wines, don't hold that against me.....OK, I'm running for cover ;)
By the way, how did anonymous get away with that comment?
